Peace of Mind, Inc.
Please welcome the team of therapists specializing in research-based practices for treatment of trauma, including PTSD and combat stress; victims of childhood sexual abuse and domestic violence; survivors of natural disasters; and those in the helping professions who have been touched by witnessing events with a traumatic ending.
The mission at Peace of Mind, Inc. is to reduce human suffering in a time- and cost- efficient manner, by utilizing “Best Practices”. The vision is to continually adapt to the latest research available, by keeping current with continuing education, training others, and utilizing these methods for all clients.
Molly L. VanDuser, President, M.S. Ed., LPC, NCC, has been working in the field of trauma treatment for the past 11 years. She is trained in Critical Incident Stress Debriefing (CISD); Disaster Mental Health Counseling; Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR); and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT). She is an adjunct faculty member at Webster University, Pope Air Force Base, where she teaches Professional Orientation and Ethics, as well as Research Design, in the graduate counseling program. She also provides practicum and internship supervision, in addition to professional training, presentations, and publications. Molly has worked in several settings, including: EAP; private practice; therapeutic foster care; domestic violence batterer programs; mental health clinics; and military installations.
William R. Powell, M.S. Ed., LPC, NCC, LMHC, received his Master of Divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, KY, and has been an ordained minister of the Free Methodist Church for 21 years. He has also served as chaplain at Mountain Valley Hospice, Gloversville, NY and also St. James Mercy Medical Center, Hornell, NY. William has extensive counseling experience working with people in recovery from drugs and alcohol, adult children of alcoholic and blended families. He also has experience counseling people with gender orientation issues, and he has expertise in working with those in grief. As the coordinator of the batterer’s program, William was active in the local domestic violence consortium, the Domestic Abuse Review Team.
Sonya Holland has been working adolescents/children and families for 15 years in different capacities. She has worked as Program Manger and Family Consultant for KidsPeace Foster Care and Family Services of Hope Mills, NC, since 2002, and while there, she established the outpatient mental health and community support services program. Sonya’s knowledge of compliance and ethical standards made her the only candidate worthy of consideration for the title of Program Development Specialist at Peace of Mind, Inc., and she is expected to receive her Licensed Professional Counselor licensing in March of 2008.
Jacqui Grantland M. Ed, LPC, CSOFP received her Bachelor’s Degree from University of Maryland, majoring in Psychology, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Texas Tech University, where she majored in Community Counseling. In addition to joining the team at Peace of Mind, Inc., Jacqui also works in a group private practice in Fayetteville, North Carolina, treating clients of all ages and stages of life. She has received specialty training in EMDR, where she met Molly VanDuser, and is also a Certified Sex Offender Treatment Provider. Jacqui is licensed in North Carolina as a Licensed Professional Counselor and is credentialed as a National Certified Counselor.
